Gary farmed at Te Poi near Matamata for 30 years. He is married to Anne and they have six children and fifteen grandchildren between them. He is a JP and marriage celebrant. From 1975-78 he was chairman of course development of the Tirau golf course. Gary was an ICI Farmer of the year award winner and in 1985 he was co-opted to the board of Summit Deer Products. In 1988 he became adviser to the NZ Dairy board on research priorities and in 1989 was adviser to a forum to identify priorities for NZ Deer industry research and was a consultant on deer farming in NZ & America.
Anne Fowler
Anne has lived in the Hikuai area since 1971 after two years on Great Barrier Island. She is an ex-teacher who spent many years teaching at Hikuai School. Anne helped plant and run an orchard on Settlement Road for many years. She enjoys tramping, walking, travelling and helping to run the Concert in the Orchard.
Alan Hitchens
Promotions and publicity officer for Concert in the Orchard. Long-time Pauanui homeowner and permanent resident since 2005. Retired former editor of two of New Zealand’s nationally circulating weekly newspapers. Manager of one of former Independent Newspapers Limited largest divisions and Chief Operating Officer of INL’s United States operation. President of the Pauanui Probus Club. Former board member of the Pauanui Sports and Recreation Club and currently a member of the Club’s Advisory Board. Interests include classic British cars and flying model aircraft.
Robyn Wilder
Robyn Wilder, the daughter of Anne and Gary Fowler, is a bank officer at Westpac Bank in Thames. She adds youth to the committee, is a mother of two and is responsible for the Westpac sponsorship.
Keith Hough
Keith is the Sponsorship and Accounting Officer for Concert in the Orchard. Has been a resident in Pauanui since 2005 with a long association with the area. He is a recently retired businessman and past president of the Pauanui Probus Club and the Pauanui Bridge Club.
